Engagement Session with Amanda and Brandon

Engagement sessions are so much fun and this one was exceptionally fun with Amanda and Brandon.  We split the session into two days (not normally done but I loved the ideas so we went with it). The ’66 cherry red Mustang was an AWESOME touch and the day at the carnival was absolutely a blast.

I loved Amanda’s clothes that she picked out for her engagement session. She had seen a couple of images on different Pinterest boards and really liked the layered look with boots and the jacket. This totally fit the outdoor theme of the first part of their session. The second part of their engagement session was more retro looking and Amanda found a really cute vintage looking skirt. The second day we found ourselves at the Burleson County Fair in Caldwell, Texas and got permission to go into the fair an hour early. Lesson learned….buy tickets to the rides in advance if possible so you don’t have to wait till 6pm to ride the various rides. Also, make sure you pick a carousel that adults can get on! Who would have thought they wouldn’t let you all get on the carousel horses! Next thing to keep in mind when shooting on location (especially if it’s in a ferris wheel) is to ask your assistant if they are afraid of heights! My wonderful lighting assistant that day was Meghan Garner and she promptly states to me after we get on the ride “Is this a bad time to tell you I’m afraid of heights”.  Hilariously funny day but we had so much fun. Thanks again for allowing us to be a part of your special day.
